Size #40 tool holders!! That is huge for a manual machine. I still need 2 new stepper motors. Sherline has smaller stepper motors and wrong type of connectors on it right now.

I know that it is CNC just that size toolholders are huge for most single tool machines. That thing should be able to handle some heavy duty milling! I think that the Okuma CNC mills I have been running use the same size. Only ran one other CNC mill that used bigger toolholders. It was a beast!!
Are the controls on your new mill Fanuc or something else? Lynn

well the big gray old POSCNC mill was giving me such a headache I had to put it aside till I can get a control for it and have time to work on it
 . BUT 2 new pieces came and I finally got them hooked up now I'm waiting for the rest of the tooling 8600# mill most expensive of the 2  got lucky on this 1   5000# 16/40 lathe it's not new but it's no antique and it is sweet
