The trademark look of the 389 is the slightly round edged grill and the headlights. I used to hate the look, but must admit that it's been growing on me, big time. I'm starting to see a lot of nice 389 show trucks and some nice working class trucks out and about on the highway.

You can chrome styrene and plastic. That'd be a neat way to go. Or machine these parts out of aluminum. Good luck!

Awesome Troy...You know you are on the best place to have one of our master machinist make them for you...there is someone that can do it..look how far this hobby has come in the last few years....if you build it ..they will come..

You are right!
I talked to my brother-inlaw last night,and he said he could get me in to
the Peterbilt plant on a saturday sometime soon.

I live about 20 min. from the plant.
I can try to get blueprints,or at least detailed measurements and pictures
of the grill,headlights,fenders,air tanks,and so on.

The last time I was at the plant most of my pictures came out blurry,which
is why I never posted them.

Oh well if you don't mind the bad pic's!
