It's never too early to start testing your equipment for spring planting. Just finished redoing this one. Enjoy!

Very nice video, and nice work on that JD, Rob. I like the working 3 point hitch. Is it servo operated? If so, how much torque does a servo need for lifting something like that planter?

Could you show us more about the tractor? Hitch, Transmission, ....?

I will take some pics of the innards and post for ya. I used a Tamiya gearbox driving a wedico diff. Had to do a lot of shaving on both the diff and the tractor to get it to fit.

Nat, I used a Hitec 645MG....it is place under the seat. At 4.8v, it has 107in oz of torque. I don't know if i over kill it, but i also use a CC bec to draw more power directly to the servo. Now it doesn't kill the spd ctrl'r when lifting the planter.

Looking forward to the photos. I always wondered how well a semi rear end would fit in a row crop tractor, after they became so popular for the articulated tractors.

Wow, that's a whole lot of mechanical and electrical equipment, crammed into a really tight space! Impressive, but it doesn't look very easy to do! And you are still able to keep the cab interior; is there anything you can't convert to RC?

Thanks for sharing Rob. I see a lot of guys who don't share their secerts, when it comes to these die-cast conversions, and that's not you. You truly are promoting the hobby.
