I just read through the Data sheet for the roboclaw and when dipswitch #6 is "on" calibration mode is off.

FWIW, I never had luck with these "auto calibrating" ESCs. If there is any tiny glitch in the powersupply, it will send them to calibrate mode. Can cause quite a crash with faster onroad racers. Guess how I found out...
I try to stay clear off them as far as I can.
Hope this solves the problem with the Delta loader, a nifty thing it sure is!

Edit: Thanks for the link, looks like an interesting ESC and I like the dip-switch options! If only all manufacturers would allow users to disable the automatic calibration.
