I don't use ESC as you never quite get full power to the motor....I use a 2-way switch with H-bridge relay setup to get a direct connection to the battery....although a bit more complicated that a 'plug and play' ESC!

Sorry to hijack the thread but what one do you use Ric? Does it work with limit switches?

Here is what Izzy and I use. It is only available at servocity. It has built in solder points for limmit switches to limit travel in both directions. These have been very reliable and have not had one fail yet, very happy with them.

https://www.servocity.com/html/elect...lled_dual.html

Supply Voltage: 3.8-5.5 VDC
Supply Current: 20ma static, 75ma energized
Load Rating: 0-30 VDC at 12.0A
Switching Time: 7.0 milliseconds
Switch Resistance: .012 ohms
Dimensions: 1.85”x2.70”x1.10”
Weight: 1.4oz
