Default Working out how many track links

Hi, I'm currently converting a dozer and i'm unsure on whether there is a way of working out how many track links I need, or do you just get a certain number and go from there?

as always, any help is appreciated

Buzzy

buzzy16-Do the math-figure the circumference of the track circle. Then if you know the size of your pads, measure the distance between pin centers and divide it out. This should get you close but you may have to make final adjustments. There may be another way but this is the way I would do it.

buzzy16-your welcome-glad I could help. Going by your numbers this may be a small model to get in hydraulics.,but that's your call. Good luck with the build and post lots of pictures.
