Default Got One-MC6 6x6!

Got it the other day and have started with the frame but can only go so far waiting for upgrade parts. I'll post some pics later,it looks like a solid rig so far.

I posted the other day about glue and paint,is there a paint that works best on this plastic or just use the Tamiya or Testors paints. Thanks for any help.

Got some starter pics of the build. You can see the difference between the 6x6 and my Sawback. Also there is the plastic weld I chose works well with a little forgiveness.

Thanks Jack I really appreciate the compliments, it's my first big build involving putting most of the body together. Being new to this I worry the plastic weld isn't strong enough, so I always use extra along all edges.

Yup,that's the way to go,soak it on the edges and squeeze for stronger weld.By the way Chris, how much was it? (the truck) did you have to pay duties?

Just few pics, chassis almost complete. If you get one don't buy the upgrade shafts too much slop in pins, but the shafts themselves are solid, seams the holes are just too big for pins. Going good so far.

It runs! Put the esc receiver and battery and away it went. Waiting for my bec and now to put rest of body together then paint. Putting some extra screws in some places to make it more secure, still don't trust glue when a good ole' mechanical fastener can work.

Just a few pics with body on. Also I plan to put battery in back, I'm looking for a box to do so 16-20cm long, 6-10cm wide, 4-10cm high. I would like something that looks like it belongs there. Thanks for any help.

Chris, in my custom builds, I make wooden crates to accommodate the battery,I'll check for pictures

This is an example in a small scale, the box behind the driver.
